Mahinour took up rhythmic gymnastics at age four. She began her training at “Alexandria Smouha Club” in Egypt. Her parents would have rather seen their daughter on the ballet stage, however, Refaat decided on rhythmic gymnastics with great passion.
In 2005, Mahinour was widely recognized as one of the most foremost junior gymnasts in Alexandria and was a member of the team that took gold in 2008, in the Egyptian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship. After retiring from competition in 2009, Mahinour was named Smouha Club team coach – a position she held for 4 years. One of her athletes went to the African Gymnastics Championship in 2014
Mahinour has more than 13 years’ experience in practicing rhythmic gymnastics and more than 8 years’ experience in training and coaching gymnasts
In addition, Mahinour holds a certificate in FIG Rhythmic gymnastics judging from the Egyptian gymnastics federation.
Mahinour joined the Du Gym family in 2014 as a Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics coach.
